NHC Group Website

NHC Group Ltd. is an established family business, dedicated to providing quality, cost effective nursing equipment to the care sector in the UK. The company, established in 2002 as Northern Healthcare, showed steady growth over the years.

The Start

The then current website based on the Magento 1.9 platform was out of date and only had a modest search presence for just a few keywords.

As a website has a multiple purpose in marketing, like generating leads, giving confidence in case of referral as well as recruitment, the task given to us was two-fold:

1. update the current site.

2. explore the possibilities for a brand new site, including webshop and prepare for SEO.

Development

NHC is working nationwide and the search volume for the relevant keywords is relatively high: between 500 and 8000 per month. This also meant that the competition for organic ranking on the first page is tough. A classic SEO business case where there are no quick fixes (unlike SEA) if the aim is long term gain.

To date we have completed the following:

1. Site migration from Magenta 1.9 to Squarespace 7.0, keeping the then current top domain name northerhealthcareuk.com. This to save time and to satisfy 2 of the 3 above mentioned website goals.

2. Start key-word research and competing sites.

3. Explore available website platforms to prepare for future developments and growth of the company. A custom coded solution was chosen.

4. Select future webdevelopment partner ( update: MTC.CO.UK)

5. Complete rebranding exercise. (graphic design by: N35media)

6. Installation of new top domain name nhcgroup.co.uk, whilst maintaning modest website authority and search rankings.

7. Start with on-site and off-site SEO

RESULTS

• 7 first-page rankings for highly competitive keywords.

• 5 second-page rankings for high search volume competitive keywords

• Current domain authority: 22 (up from 12)

• The website started generating organic leads in 6 months
